Let the hosting begin
The one where we meet the whole gang.
Filming for the series is well underway and excitingly we’ve just been joined by our three new co-hosts who complete the Alpha Youth Series hosting party.
Alongside Ben and Jason – Jassie Virk, Landry McAllister and Peter Yoon – will be presenting different perspectives and insights in the episodes.
We can’t wait for you to meet them in the behind the scenes video below and make sure to keep scrolling for some juicy insider details on each of our new co-hosts .
Need to phone a friend? Jassie is our resident game show fanatic and works as the Women’s Pastor Admin Assistant at Christian Life Assembly. A WWE encyclopedia, Jassie became a Christian through a friend inviting her to church. After running Alpha Youth in Grade 12, she claimed round two by planning an Alpha Youth at Christian Life Assembly. What a mouthful! She has a side job eating Korean noodles, and a big heart for people who don’t know Jesus to show how he transformed her life and the lives of others.
Landry hasn’t hit all of the seven wonders yet, but has travelled to 30 different countries on mission trips! He speaks at youth ministries, conferences and camps across the nation, and is our high flyer who piloted the Alpha Youth course in 2012. Still running it at his church, he is the Pastor of Youth and Young Adults at Cariboo Road Christian Fellowship as a nine-to-five. Landry and Abby have been married for five years and if you bump into this cool cat, his order is an iced mocha.
We keep telling people Peter was one of the first people to see Finding Dory, but all we actually know is he was at the front of the queue to order a fish taco. Working as the Student Ministry Coordinator at Christian Life Assembly in Langley, 10% of the diet coke population is kept in his kitchen cupboards. That’s a fact. Public speaker with a big heart, Peter is looking to empower generation Z and students to get to know Jesus, especially in Canada.
